How to implement LDAP authentication with recursive search

Hello, after having read this question (and associated responses), I have a follow-up question:

It is about "ldap.userDn": I could have LDAP auth work properly but we had to make ldap.userDn very specific (OU=FR,OU=Users,OU=Company,OU=com). My concern is that our users are actually spread into many OU: - French users in OU=FR,OU=Users,OU=Company,OU=com - Spanish users in OU=SP,OU=Users,OU=Company,OU=com - ...

We tried to set ldap.userDn to OU=Users,OU=Company,OU=com but like this, LDAP auth does not work any more. I suspect that the search is limited to 1 level only. Is there any option to make search operations in more than 1 level?
